So many stories and so many memories but no real lust to write them all down. What a shame. Came back from Byron Bay yesterday so now I’m sitting here and waiting for Jenny who is arriving on wednesday.
I have unfortunately a bit of a cold but that will pass til next breath or something. Eating strepsil and Panadol Cold & Flu, only the strongest and best things.
No fun travelling if I’m sick, however I’m not more sick than I feel like. For instance, this morning after the shower I trimmed my beard, put on some clean clothes and had breakfast with my irish friend James. Think we’re going out to grab some food in an hour or two.
Okay so I might tell you a few stories from Byron Bay – the city where drugs are almost legal. Lots of people take drugs in at least one or two ways and you see people buy weed on the street in the very open. It’s a bit different. Byron Buy is however a really cozy sun-, bath- and surfertown. Everyone is so relaxed and easy to talk with. I can honestly say that I’ve met quite a few really good people there that I’m gonna stay in contact with.
After the 3,5 h long bus trip, during which me and this danish guy Mark decided that we’re gonna travel together through both Europe and America on motorbikes, we finally arrived. Checked in at the hostel and landed ourselves in the so-called sausageroom, containing only guys. We were also called the “sausageparty” by the girl in the reception.
Hostel seemed nice and we went out and had noodles at “The Noodle Box”. Absolutely fantastic food and I ate with chopsticks. Told myself I would eat the whole meal which actually went really good, both my male teachers thought I did really good. I did finish after them but just slightly.
After that we went to a club called “Cheeky Monkeys”, we had at our arrival got some food coupons where it said Coyote-tuesday! Have you seen the movie Coyote Ugly? Similar. All the employees dress up, same thing on wednesday when it was Bikini-day. That is a real backpackers place which was quite fun although people get very drunk and sleazy. We ended up there every night since we got food coupons. And on thursday it was Wet T-shirt contest. Yeah, you hear what kind of place it is. Lots of horny guys however it’s the girls which are screaming the loudest. One funny thing about that place is that you dance on the tables. That’s quite amazing! Haha!
I have bought an awesome surfer shirt which is like a second skin! White with Kawasaki-green stripes down the long sleeves. And I have bought some thongs. Yes people, they call flip-flops thongs here in Australia. Which is something completely different in other parts of the world. And I’ve realized that I don’t like sand. Have written a whole blog entry about this but I’ll publish it another day when I have nothing else to write.
Two days ago I sat on a park bench with an ice-cream and discussed life and motorbikes with an old stoned homeless drunk guy. That was quite interesting as you probably can imagine! And of course, I’ve taken lots of pictures but not like postcard pictures, more like art. We’ll see when they are uploaded.
Now I’m going to buy some food and work on me getting cured but take care!
Lots of hugs and kisses
PS: Remember me that I have to tell about jaguars and the brasilian guy.
